Andy Flower vs Ian Botham

Better test cricketer?

Botham, Flower's wicket keeping is virtually worthless and Beefy wins an all rounder vs batter comparison. I see Botham as more of a 36 avg bat/26 avg ball type player than what he ended up with at the end due to going on too long, but I'd take that over Flower comfortably.

Kinda ridiculous to compare a WK with an AR

But I'd go Flower. Botham had a GOATed peak but fell off very quickly. Flower had a solid 10 years, even more if not for Mugabe. He could've been a much better batter if not for constantly coming much earlier than a normal no. 5 does.

I'd disagree, Mugabe saga cut years but it also cut off a potential decline phase such that Gilly had to go through,Flower being a bad keeper just kills his chances here
