ALftA Season 2

We, the Board, know that the wait has been rather long for the followup of A League for the Ages Season 1 and we sincerely apologize for it. However, it really couldn't have been helped.

Everything is almost sorted now and just some final testing going on to check the database response. As such, the target date to start the season is Saturday the 24th of July (this Saturday). However, we are aware that some managers (Jamee, Neil, Dave) are away at the moment and ideally we would like to accomodate everyone as best as possible.

Hence, this poll. We would like all managers to state here whether they feel we should go ahead and kick off the season on Saturday or delay it another week or two to allow the highest possible number of managers. Please state all reasoning and we will take it into account and hopefully (depending on response) announce the final decision by Thursday.

It is respectfull to the others and I think will make the comp better.

My personal view is to wait, but even if we only wait one week, I don't think Jamee is back.

One thing's for sure, we can't wait for the Ginger to get back!

I know I would have wanted, but not expected, people to wait for me if I was on holiday. Tricky question...anyone know when Dave is coming back?

As for "thinking like the Ginger", I think that's quite impossible to find.

Ideally, you'd want everyone to be around for the start, but I expect most managers will be unavailable at some stage during the season (I'm away in early September, for example).

I suppose it's worth waiting another week if it means a couple more managers will be around for the start.

I'm happy to go either way, I wouldn't expect anyone to wait for me.

Dave should be back soon. As far as I was aware he was only going to Cairns for the test, perhaps he is staying longer?

From a Testing point of view, a week's delay wouldn't go amiss, although I think it is finally beginning to make sense!

We are officially starting, yes.

This will now mean that barring disasters the thing will be running smoothly and the first OD round will be able to be run in the middle of next week (we'd have struggled this week without Liam )
