Do rookies have set batting positions? Or can we nominate their positions, because next season I fear I might be one opener short and if my rookie was a opener it would clear up all my troubles, but, I have no idea whether he is or isn't an opener, so if someone could clarify this, it would be appreciated...
Batting Order
Firstly yes in VC each player has to be assigned a place in the order, so if you do random team or 1st X1 you don't get McGrath (as in Glen) opening and Lara at 11.
However it makes very little difference where you play a player, according to the stats M.Butcher for me is an opener, yet he has proformed for me at 1, 3 and 6.
But I guess what iam trying to say is that it doesn't effect a player performance if he should be an opener, yet plays at 6 he will perform just the same (match situation depending)

Well last time I spoke to GB he was about half way through updating the Academy list, then it's a case of adding all the teams cast off's... and as for that reason the draft list wont be released until nearer the end of the season, when we require the teams to announce the releases.Muzza said:
