A different peak XI

HouHsiaoHsien

International Debutant
This is not a traditional peak XI, but closer to the the thrill a minute XI by Ian Chappell many years back. Basically a team of individuals, who given certain conditions can wreck the opposition in the most destructive and spectacular manner. Do give your XI’s.

Mine would be:

Sehwag

Richards
Lara
Sobers
Botham
Gilly
Imran
Johnson/Lillee(maybe leaning Johnson cause of his level of performance in 2013 Ashes)
Ambrose
Muralidharan

More of an X
Yeah, I’m not sure of whom to choose as the other opener. Anyways this is subjective and I’m mostly interested in how and which XI’s do most posters come with. For me for example I chose Johnson cause of how at his lethal best, he ran through two very good lineups, Botham’s Mumbai performance was ridiculously out of this world, Ambrose on a fast and bouncy wicket, and Murali running through sides at his peak.

Throw in David Warner as an opener in Australia and perhaps Jamieson as a 3rd seamer with anything with a hint of assistance.
Agree with Warner definitely. On surfaces with pace and bounce like the ones in Aus or SA, Warner was a beast, even against great attacks like SA 2014.

Okay, I will try to be more creative and not include any one included by HHH

Bill Ponsford
Victor Trumper
Kevin Pietersen
Stan McCabe
V V S Laxman
Ben Stokes
Rishabh Pant
Ravichandran Ashwin
Waqar Younis
Shoaib Akhtar
B S Chandrashekhar

On their days, the team can beat anything.

Like the inclusion of Pietersen(domination of Mcwarne, Mumbai knock, and Steyn demolition indicates a high ceiling), Stokes(135 among others), Younis(devastating on song), Akhtar, Ashwin(probably the second best bowler on SC surfaces ever), VVS(281, 96 in Durban etc)
