SA favourits, though is highly dependent on how many turners are there. English team had a Great peak, but don't think they will persist two whole series against these teams in peak.

Whatever it takes!!!
I have said this before here -

Kohli's India are the 3rd best test side I have seen in my time of watching/following cricket.

1. 00s Australia
2. 08-16 RSA
3. Kohli's India.

The bowling just doesn't pop out. They lack a leader of the pack attack like Bumrah and Donald, and the spin doesn't make up for it either. Their batting is the best, but I don't think it makes up for it.
Interesting because I think their batting was the weakest.

Is their batting the weakest? The top 4 looks pretty solid to me with dangerous no 5-6.
Peak Vaughan was Great and so was KP, like Trescothick as well; not so sold on Bell and Collingwood. They lack any real star, a real alpha with an ATG peak like Kohli or just an ATG batter like Kallis. And then Flintoff comes at 6 with Jones at 7, kinda a long tail there. They have the best openers, but both other teams have way better MOs.

Yeah no ATG peak for KP, but 40+avg every year from debut year 2005 till 2012 is pretty damn good.

Great, but he is their best. Not really comparable to Kohli and Kallis at their peak. The other 2 are Bell and Collingwood, don't think that close to Pujara and Rahane and Cullinan and Cronje. Freddie should not be compared to Pant as a batter, Rhodes better as well; and Jones to Jadeja or Klusener and Giles to Ashwin or Pollock is kinda one sided as well. Then SA have quite a long tail with Richardson and Symcox (if he plays, would personally prefer Adams, think batting has enough depth). Don't think the opening advantage is enough really.

Their pace bowling was awesome in that period. They defeated both SA and Aus lineups.
They did, though Aus was missing McGrath. At peak all decent pacers though Jones will break down and they lack a leader. Over the 10 matches, think their bowling will turn out to be the worst.
