Nah, they'd need 4 real thumping wins, but Pakistan are still in the race (especially if NZ lose to WI on Saturday).

From a SA point of view, and for me there is no real interest in this game; there is only 4 players in the squad I think may have a chance for the future of SA cricket; unfortunately the rest have no future in the SA squad either through retirement or SA just needing to move onwards to the next generation. So it is not just a dead rubber for the WC you can't even look to the future in these games.

Lol, anyone remember 1992 World Cup when Pakistan were written off...

Pak have SA, NZ, AFG and BD so a win here tonight sets them up for a 1992 like finish...it even means Eng can win one of their 3 remaining games vs AUS, NZ and IND and still be knocked out

Maybe, not sure. BD have to play Pak and Pak would be even on points if they win here, so BD should still make it through
