Steyn going to IPL was a ****** decision. I'm sure he must be devastated.Steyn injury set them back mentally and emotionally
I can't remember the last time I saw a 5-ball over in International Cricket.
technically we're always using the ground to assist in a catchCan't use the ground to assist you in taking the catch. Not out and I don't think it's a soft signal cop out
Its just a modern day shot these days nothing shocking to get out like thatThat might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
It was not out.I think in case of even a shadow of doubt, they tend to stay with the 'soft' signal. Gutless crowd, I tell you, ***** and his umpires.
not even the dumbest piece of cricket from Pakistan this WC tbhThat might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Dreadful shot, wasn't on at all.Its just a modern day shot these days nothing shocking to get out like that
He has but it been unexpected when the pressure was off and South Africa where out like 2 games ago.Morris has probably been SA's best fast bowler this tournament.
When were broadcasters allowed to umpire the game..."There were 7 balls bowled in the 14th over. "Everybody had six... Dharmasena had marked correctly but Sky apparently marked only 5. So they apparently conveyed to Kumar that one more ball had to be bowled. And so they got him to bowl another," informs Kaushik."
The umpire should not assume the catch has been taken unless he sees otherwise. It's the other way around. If there is doubt, it's not out. The default is the catch was not taken unless the umpire can confirm he saw it taken cleanly. That's what the soft signal is based on.I don't see how you can give a soft signal for a catch on the boundary. You are too far away.
They have to give some sort of soft signal? The umpire has always had to make the judgement even before the days of DRS.I don't see how you can give a soft signal for a catch on the boundary. You are too far away.
Don't think this one was out thought.
