1st Match - Pakistan v New Zealand

Moss

International Captain
This has the feel of a decider, expecting India to beat both these sides (haven't tracked Bangladesh much of late so don't know what to expect from them, would be cool if they come to the party as well).

NZ should go into the game with a lot of confidence, but you'd imagine Pakistan in a first major tournament at home in a while will be more than up for this. Rauf back adds a layer of interest.

King Kane

International Vice-Captain
Losing the toss and batting first isn't ideal as batting is usually easier at night there with the dew.

Matthew Hayden commentating this game isn't ideal either, he used to coach Pakistan so he will probably be biased towards them.

What's going on with Ravindra?
I thought he would be right to go for this game but he must still be having some issues with that head knock he copped.

Ferguson out of this tournament is a blow as well but I think we can cover for him OK.

Hope it's not career changing..some players are never the same after they suffer head injuries.

So we're up 2–0 in this interminable three-match series. I've seen a lot of excitement for this match – not sure why: it's a dead rubber.
