BARNES OUT
TBH, on any other day it looks like you would have got a result. Keeper being sent off and giving away an own goal, and giving away a penalty aren't things that will happen every game.

United definately looked the better side.
It happened a lot of times last season as well, most notably against you, where I think we had something like 12 shots on goal more than you and you beat us 2-0 or something.

Shaping up as a much better season for the Northside Power. Pleased with my own form. Hopefully we can finish top of the table.

Blake shows again why he should be playing for U20s IMO, if not the national team. Such as gun keeper. Pretty good all round game from the team, Dave needs to find the net soon though, he doesn't have the excuse being so far behind all the other forwards anymore.

Gutted at the suspension. Four yellow cards for our side including three in the defence, feel the ref was a bit harsh on some occasions. Still, a much improved attack with seven shots on target against four solid defenders and a DM says we're at least heading in the right direction.

But a game where the best players on both sides are keepers says it all, really.

Jack really going well for us lately.

0 - 0 for us was a result that could have gone either way, both sides having good opportunities and i hit the wood work which i wish could have gone in. We seem to have addapted to the formation just can not get the goal we need. looks promising though for the Dynamo.

Gutted i couldnt get a goal in the opening stages of the game, but none the less an outstanding performance from Blake, simply marvelous i must say.

CW Under 20s vs NZ Under 20s

CW Under 20s faced a tough battle as NZ Under 20s arived on their shores.

The New Zealand press had all but written off the chances of the young players from the new footballing nation.

The New Zealanders knew they had the foundations of a very good team with the 'spine' provided by the talented quartet of Spoonley (Gk), Pelter (D), James (M), and Brockie (ST).

Could the CW Under 20s replicate the efforts of East Coast Fury by defeating a supposedly superior team.

In an effort to achieve this CW U20s captain, Håkon Mørk, announced the following starting lineup.

Code:
					GK S_Jasotharan

DF Dave_Kearsley	DF Jack_McNamara	DF Xavier_Rose	DF Daniel_Speirs

MF G_Sriram MF Håkon_Mørk	MF George_Pardoe	MF Kexing_Su

			FW Thamba_Mamesh	FW M_Hutchinson
Subs
GK Ryan_Dunn
MF King_Clapham
DF R_Hingston
MF Greg_Thomas
FW Matt_Luff

NZ U20s
In a move that bemused fans and the press, the NZ Under 20s manager announced pre-game that he would be going with a 4-2-4 Counter attacking system.

It is a game that NZ Under 20s are expected to win, but will such tactical risk prove the manager a genius or cost him his job?
