    changes to india's ODI squad

But if you want to replace Kaif with Badani, it wont be a very good idea as badani is an even more inconsistent player and a worse fielder.

    changes to india's ODI squad

    1. Well... a small break for this guy would do the team no harm. If his replacement doesn't do very well then he could always return. 2. Yes. But in ODIs with Ganguly's return I'd prefer Dravid to keep wickets. 3. Agreed. Kumble should retire. 4. Totally Agree. Agarkar should be most effective...

    Steve WaugH

Yeah, Steve could have led Australia for a bit longer. But i guess they didn't need him any longer either as captain or as a middle order batsman.

    Zaheer Khan

So what do you suggest? Sanjay Bangar instead of Chopra/Sehwag? Ajay Ratra/Deep Dasgupta?Dravid keeping wickets? 4 Bowlers? And then we again come to the case of how India shall bowl the Aussies out. But I guess this is what they'll do.

    Indian team selection & Captaincy

The "oooooh I hate that guy"itis is what I like the most about that guy. :D

    Zaheer Khan

The question is... at whose cost? Zaheer and Nehra are the best in the country. And with AA's alternate batting and Bowling performances, it would really annoy me if he's removed. A spinner, maybe but not in India. In Australia, India should play the tests with 5 genuine bowlers. Zaheer...

    Indian team selection & Captaincy

That just proves what I said. Laxman doesn't have as huge a fan following as Yuvraj, Kaif or Sehwag. I never compared these players on their batting abilities but on the basis of the support that they enjoy. So please don't tell me that he has already scored a century in the current series...

    Zaheer Khan

I agree with what godofcricket said. A Nehra or a Srinath or even a Salvi at the other end would make Zaheer a much different bowler. AA is much better as a 1st change bowler or bowling at around the 35 overs mark, imo.

*Official* Tri Series (Ind, NZ, Aus) Thread

General Impressions - 1. India needs Ganguly, though Dravid hasn't been bad as captain. I think that when he returns dravid will again keep wickets. And that would make the Indian team a bit stronger. 2. One or more Australian always performs outstanding in a ODI. And Australia wins again...

*Official* Tri Series (Ind, NZ, Aus) Thread

Re: Re: wat was that about india? 1. Agreed. They were average but are improving. 2. Don't agree. Most of the time when someone says India's chips are down is basically because SRT falls cheaply. And I still say that when chasing huge totals Ganguly should open with Sehwag with SRT at no 3.

AA was amazing. If only he can give a decent bowling performance... And I think 284 is a decent enough total considering that the pitch was slowing down a bit. But the Aussies should get there.

    What makes a good bowler?

Apart from the many things people have posted, another important thing is control.

    All time XI's

Yeah, Indian cricket has been better than that over the years. They have had many superb players. Superb batsmen and bowlers. And yet they never were considered a great side. Sure India has had their fair share of great players but none of them, at least imo, could blend as a team. With the...

    tendulkar not a match winner>>Imran

If Sachin weren't a match winner, India for the most part of the 90s would have been a team like Zimbabwe or even Bangladesh (... Nah). What SOME people don't realize is that for a person to be a match winner he must not neccessarily score centuries in the finals. I mean, without Sachin's...

    All time XI's

Indian Squad... As I've been watching cricket only for the past 8 yrs and a few cricket classics, I'm not sure my list will reflect on the really old great players. 1. Sunil Gavaskar 2. Navjot Sidhu 3. Rahul Dravid 4. Sachin Tendulkar 5. G Vishwanath 6. VVS Laxman 7. Kapil Dev 8. Nayan Mongia...

    Do Bangladesh Deserve Test Status?

Now that they have been given test status, no point in thinking about taking it away. Efforts should be made to improve the team. And ICC should make sure they don't make similar mistakes again... eg... Kenya.

    Setting the platform...

Ganguly and Tendulkar. I think the only reason why they never won as many matches for India s the other partnerships was because they weren't complimented by middle order batsmen and/or bowlers.
