    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

It's easier to be proactive when the opposing team doesn't force the play. Having said that, Stokes is a fine captain who's proactive at all times.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Yeah. You expect subcontinent sides to atleast keep taking singles. Pakistan don't seem to have that in their batting game.

One more wicket now and Pakistan team will be in panic mode. Thats why a decent scoring rate is a must.

It's a mindset. The defense first mindset which was the vogue in the 2000s throughout the subcontinent.

Slightly bouncier track and this guy would be in the pavillion really quickly. A domestic level bats at best.

*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

Shifting venues should be the way to go if the forecast os Having a backup venue should be ideal as a general practice. Especially for tests, it's not as if people book tickets weeks or months in advance.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Imagine needing to use a 6th day pitch because the curators are too **** to produce a dust Bowl. It's the subcontinent for crying out loud.

Can always change tactics. Not too late.

Trent's someone who's prone to brainfades. Thats about it. Not an indication that he's a bad defender at a right back position. What he offers to his team more than makes up for any perceived shortcomings in defense

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Must be someone with an entirely special world view who thought that the Kookaburra makes sense as a cricket ball. I'll bet that if you look at the stats of Pakistan pre the adoption of kookaburra to post the adoption , there will be a major difference in results too. And these are the...

Yeah , worth getting a seamer on to see if there's any reverse on offer
  18. S

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

This is where an SG ball with a much more pronounced seam could have been useful. Land the ball on the seam and you'll get a variation on the bounce. The kookaburra is just not suited for test cricket outside of Aus/ SA

Leach needs to vary his pace a bit too. Needs to bowl couple of quicker ones too.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

It's slow spin. It's not something that should trouble the batsmen. It's not fizzing off a length and catching the batsmen out. Pakistan batting are still looking very ordinary though.
