Who will be IPL team captains?

it's almost certain than Gambhir will captain KKR. That's why they paid 2.4 million for him, the price of being a good batsman and captaincy material. Also, it's always better to have a good Indian player as captain since his availability and inclusion in the side is guaranteed.

Who will be IPL team captains?

Virat Kohli has a reasonable chance of being the captain of RCB as well. Sidharth Mallya actually mentioned this in one of the interviews, and given the fact that he was the only player retained, I wouldn't be surprised if this actually turns out to be the case.

Rahul Dravid - What would you do? Is he still one of India's 6 best batsman?

Even with his current form, he is better than...

IPL Price Brackets- Brian Lara included

I doubt Mumbai will go for Lara. They have already used up half of their auction budget. And by now, all teams have realized that the core strength of the team comes from having good indian players. I see them going for indian talents like Yuvraj, Uthappa, Tiwary, Rayudu, Harbhajan, Rohit Sharma...

IPL Price Brackets- Brian Lara included

Because Ganguly chose that price. The players decide their base price, not the IPL committee. Personally, I think it's a smart choice. I do fear for Lara. He does run the risk of not getting any bids

Stats that make you go Hmmmmm

Throughout the 90s, India were never dominating outside home. The performances improved slightly once Dravid, and Ganguly arrived on the scene in 1996. The real turnaround started once Ganguly became the captain in 2000.

Stats that make you go Hmmmmm

It works both ways. MOM is rarely given to a player from the losing side. So, players like Tendulkar or Lara would be a little hard done by the fact that they played for a relatively weak team for a considerable period of their career.
