    Cricket Ebooks

Ok first of all, I would like to say that I am really passionate about education and coaching of cricketers. There just seemed to be a heck of a lot of problems as a cricketer trying to learn about the game online, does anyone else feel this way? I've been a cricket player for a long time and...

Looking for a new cricket bat

Hi guys, I'm a junior cricket player in Australia and I'm looking for a new cricket bat during the off-season while I still train. I am as big as any normal adult though and my previous bat a Predator 500 only available in WA was a really good light quality bat. But now I feel it is not the...

    playing with a straight bat

Let me actually give you some drills and advice. First of all one way to practise is to get a sock, put a cricket ball or any other ball in it, tie it up to a tree, washing line etc. and practise hitting against that ball with a straight bat and getting your front leg forward watching the ball...

    All Rounder

Don't be stupid guys. If he has just started cricket there is no point teaching him to play into the gaps. Get a sock and put a ball in it, tie it to some rope and hang it up somewhere where you can bat against it. Play with a straight bat and learn how to defend the ball, just keep practising...

    More on the bowling action

Yes the article would of helped If I could clarify first what sort of action I needed to look for. At the moment I have a midway action but my front foot crosses over. And therefore my leg has to twist around. As a midway bowler should I look to have my front foot and back foot pointing down the...

    Should I begin playing cricket?

Anyone can play cricket, it is one of the few sports which allows all shapes and sizes to play and succeed, just look at Dwayne Leverock and Glenn McGrath, one stick the other a rhino. All lower grades play socially and are compiled of the least skilled cricketers who just want to enjoy the game...

    More on the bowling action

My front foot heel lands facing towards outside off stump and as I deliver it straightens up. I also think my legs cross over.

    When does it start?

I could just ring up the coaches for my clubs but does anyone know when 1. The wa district season starts and 2. when normal club cricket starts. I would be suprised if anyone knew but Im getting impatient and cant remember when it started last year.

    More on the bowling action

Few things to clarify, for a midway action what is the exact foot positioning for the delivery, where is the front foot in relation to the back foot as the back foot lands? How to prevent the front foot twisting as it lands through the crease? It should be pointing straight down the wicket but...

Just to see if anyone is interested...

I would buy it if it was in the shops but I live in Aus and I would have to convince my parents to let me buy it.... Sounds really interesting anyway, good to see a scientific approach finally being taken in our game!
