Does anyone else rate Flynn as Number 3? I do.

    140, consistently i think.

Yeah fair point. Thats a bit to ask though, i mean Bond was one of the best and to just churn another out straight after Bond's gone... I'm hopeing Tim Southee will be good in years to come. he can't bowl as fast as Bond but he certainly has talent, perhaps a little bit of hadlee about him.

Agree with almost everything you've said, except about a quality seamer. let me know if i'm wrong, but I wouldn't hesitate to say Martins been quality this test. 3 for 80 odd on a flat pitch against a batting lineup like india's... thats not a bad effort. O'Brians good too, but In my opinion...

I'm of the opinion that Taylor Flynn and Ryder all have the ability to average 40+ in tests, whether they will or not is a different story.

Yeah, good to see NZ bounce back. I thought it was a case of NZ bowling well, hitting the right lines and taking important wickets early. Not to mention good batting. now looking forward to what should be (weather permitting) a great test series. Oh yeah, and saw Sehwags quote saying we can't...

Fully agree. The BCCI have gone way too far this time.....

Thats a real good point, I think its just that he's got some huge expectations placed on him being 'the next big thing' after his success on his debut against ENG, and when he doesn't live up to them.... well..... Give him time i say, he's still only young, and I reckon with a few years under...

Agree with a lot of what you say actually Flem274*, especially that Southee has to learn to bowl in all conditions. If he could do that, he'd be of huge value to NZ. Hopefully he will, and will be the next leader of the pace attack, but right now I have to conceed he's too inconsistent. Mills I...

Yeah I know, Mills and Vettori really drive this NZ attack, but hopefully we'll see Martin come back to form this series, at least so him and Mills can hold up the pace attack until the likes of Southee etc come through. the young bowlers like Boult/southee are looking really promising, but i...

England down to 6th in test rankings

I thought they'd rate above 6. what ever happened to Monty Panesar?

I think we should just stop judging our bowlers on how they bowled in the ODI's. This indian side's arguably one of the best ODI batting line ups seen in cricket, and on flat pitches.... we were always up against it. I think we should just go with the most talented and dangerous bowlers, like...

Haha good call!!! but seriously, is he actually going to be able to play for NZ again? I heard he has to play so many FC matches first???

Seriously dissapointed to see Southee overlooked.:@ that kids the next big deal in NZC and he needs as much game time and experience possible. I reckon its only a matter of time before he gets a good game and he's away... stoked Guptills in, but what about How? would like to see the "Twin...

Sehwag.... unstoppable right now. I think the last ODI has got to see southee and patel come in. somethings gotta happen to our bowling attack...

whats with all this bitterness? Lookin foreward to the match today, I don't care if we bat or bowl first, i just want us to win. be good to see dan back, and with Tendulkar gone, we have a very good chance of winning this one.

    ***Official India in New Zealand***

Yeah, i believe india is probably the better side, but not in NZ. Gutted that we cant win the series, but things look good with Oram bowling near his best again, and Jesse/McCullum opening well. If mills can improve on that bit of form he started to get in ChCh, plus Dan the man back, I know its...

    ***Official India in New Zealand***

Styris may be more experienced, but I reckon Southee and co are the future of the NZ pace attack. As long as Vettori's back, and Mills find's his mojo, the indians will have a lot tougher job than last night...

Couldn't agree more. Thats the bowling line up I hope to see next match. Vettori's a spin genius, he works so well with Patel.
