    Northern Hemisphere Vs Southern

Well done Shaggy ! It doesn't need to happen now I know what happens. Although would have liked another test to the series in South Africa so equal home & away. Would prove to be some fascinating cricket.

Oops forgot KP! Does he come under a Northern or Southern hemisphere player??

    Northern Hemisphere Vs Southern

I think a representitive game such as this should be staged every two years. Thought the Australia vs World was a bit one sided  . So what would be the teams if staged today: Southern Hayden Smith Ponting Kallis Hussey Symonds McCallum Lee Steyn Vettori Ntini? Oram 12th man Would like...

    Series We'd Like to See

Bradmans Invinsibles vs One of Steve Waughs sides Home and Away - played in 40s conditions and equipment and in present day conditions. Windies 80s vs Aussies late 90s/early00s My local club side vs current England side - just so I can get some runs

Will Matt Hayden go down as an all-time great?

I think he will have to, yet I do understand everyones hesitation in automatically elevating him to that position. Not to long ago I put together my world best team from 1990-present. Every player just about picked themselves, but for the openers. There has not been world class openers around...

Bowlers that srtike terror in batsmen's heart!

Lets face it the day of the scary fast bowler is dead! Ambrose was the last great scary fast bowler (Akram & Younis were also great). I voted for Shoaib in that list, but think Tait is one that batsmen would hate facing most due to his unpredictability. As a batsmen there are bowlers you are...

Sir Vivian Richards - master or myth?

Stats never tell the full story. In his prime I have no doubt he was the most devastating batsman that ever was. He even puts Gilli in the shade. I think the last few years of his career were tough for him and his eyes started to let him down a bit.

    Shaun Tait quits cricket

He'll be back when he feels OK again. He is still young and some time off could be the best thing for him. I will be a little concerned if he suddenly pops up in the Indian 20/20 games though.

    ***Official*** India in Australia

I hope they are swinging Clark around to the other end! 0/2 of two overs and then bring back Johnson??

Clark's tight bowling allows Lee to be more attacking as he is not so worried about runs flowing from both ends.

    Seriously good start from Clark

Looks like Ponting has been reading cricket web Top Cat - Clark on Johnson off after a wicket last over.

They are also saying Pathan & Jayasuria have also done it but only in one innings not the match. Hinds did both innings.

Cricinfo is saying "Hinds" - I can only guess this was Wavell Hinds.

Was waiting for that  Still think Clark would be the more reliable option. Although perhaps the theory is Johnson will swing the new ball.

I am still puzzled as to why they persist in opening with Johnson.

Yes it hurts the original character of this great ground. edit: oops was meant for The Seans post sorry

Well I did say his second innings at Perth was defining and if he failed he should be looking behind for the axe. However he batted well, yet still a little miffed at the manner of his dismissal - really would have like to see him grind out a ton even if he was batting with the tail.

Probably gonna be some rain breaks though.

I am calling an early wicket for the Aussies too within first 4-5 overs.
