Should Brett Lee be selected for the Ashes?

Yeah, I agree. I was calling for David Hussey to come in for Symonds instead of North - actually come to think of it I was calling for a fit, bowling Watson, then Dave Hussey, then North. Do you mean by his skills or his age? He is younger than Hussey by 2 years, so I'm assuming you mean...

Should Brett Lee be selected for the Ashes?

I agree. I would not be disappointed if Johnson, Siddle, Bollinger, Clark was selected for the first test. Nor would I be disappointed if Johnson, Siddle, Clark, Lee or Johnson, Siddle, Clark and Hauritz. However, I don't feel keen on having Hilfenhaus playing in the side. He doesn't seem ready...

Good stuff. Can anyone contribute? What blog service do you use (eg Blogger) or is it being run on the CricketWeb mainpage/forums?

    International Twenty20

*Bump* It's massively popular now, it didn't take long for it to get a world cup and be popular across the whole world. I want a world without Twenty20.

    swear filter

What's wrong with the short form of Pakistani? I don't see how that is offensive at all.

    Battrick

Anyone want a player like this? 17 years old, he was my youth pull. I can't fit him in my team at the moment, unfortunately, because my other keeper decided to gun it. Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: mediocre Batting: respectable Concentration: worthless Bowling: feeble...

    Pietersen may miss Ashes

He is using painkillers. I wonder how long that will last, and how effective it will actually be. He could well miss out on a game or two is it gets worse.

    2009 Sides vs 2005 Sides

As has been mentioned, the 2005 sides were miles better than the 2009 sides. Particularly in the bowling attacks. IMO Johnson Siddle Clark Lee/Hauritz/McDonald Doesn't rate anywhere near McGrath Lee Gillespie Warne Obviously Gillespie was in poor form, but a very good test bowler none the...

Should Brett Lee be selected for the Ashes?

IMO, under 3.5 in ODI is excellent, about 4 is good, and a target rate, if you add in a couple of wickets, that's awesome. 3 is pretty good for Test, and really, anything under about 5 is excellent for Twenty20, but under 7-8 isn't too bad. Yeah, he does. I read he spent lots of time in the...

    Training help

Wow, I didn't know that. I'm changing it to 2 now. Later through the season I will change it to 1, though, as my players become more fatigued.

    Training help

I'm taking this thread an an opportunity to ask a question. What should my training intensity be for the nets? I've got it on 98 ATM, thinking about lowering it when my players fitness levels drop from playing matches and stuff though.

Official Pro-Wrestling Thread (WWE, TNA, ROH etc.)

Orton will win. They have been advertising Orton to come to Australia as the champion, then Batista won, but being injured before the match this could well have been planned so that this match would happen and Orton will win, then come to Australia.

    Battrick

Nah mate, it was actually just an OD match. It wasn't an international. That doesn't make any sense. I obviously understand that Brain Themba (I presume you are talking about Brian Themba) made 120* and Dirk Joyce made 111, and you lost by 7 wickets. Perhaps you could work on making your...

Will that mean that on Saturday everyone in your nets will improve or pop?

    Battrick

Won my cup match today, against a bot. Made 331, with my keeper who I just put up for transfer listing due to his usual direness and poor batting, made 122 off 110, and gunned it with the gloves too. Bowled them out for 80, thanks to 4/8 from one of my 3 spinners, and everyone else chipping in.

    Pietersen may miss Ashes

Painkillers to get Pietersen through Ashes He will probably end up missing a test or two anyway. He should have a rest between now and the Ashes, but he probably won't.

    Cricket Australia Contracts

IMO, he should be in our Twenty20 team, and possibly out ODI team. Tait bowls 7 overs for 70, then comes back, bowls his next 3 and takes 4-10. Unpredictable, but on his day, is the fastest (with Akhtar out) and most lethal (although not perhaps in wicket taking) bowler in the world. Last I...

    Battrick

Yeah. Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless Bowling: mediocre Consistency: mediocre Fielding: worthless That's what his players like. That's ****. I get players with at least competent bowling for a few k or less. Notice no one...
