    a) Does Lyon want to play this year? b) Soward, rate him. c) I'd rather Gidley come from the bench and play 15-20 minutes at hooker, than play the whole game from the backline/five eighth. 1. Hayne 2. Morris 3. Cooper 4. Lewis/someone I can't think of 5. 6. Soward 7. Pearce 8. Tolman 9...

Yeah, Gidley being captain is the worst possible thing. Mean's he has to play, and has to start. He's the favourite to be five eighth with the bookies for gods sake. I seem to be detecting sarcasm.

I reckon the Dragons and Tigers will win, except I'm still tossing up between the second game. I reckon the 'halfbackless' Tigers could go down to the Dogs if they turn up, except Marshalls form could easily override that. Should be a cracker. As for the Dragons match, I wanna see the Titans...

I know you want us to lose, but that team is a long way off from what would even be competitive. Bird at five eighth, no way. Carney off the bench? Doubt it. Gidley at fullback, no thanks. I'll post up a side later on.

I agree, but he thinks EVERYTHING is planned. Like with Slater, he was talking about how great the plan was to score the try where Blair took it instead of Slater, then got it off to Slater when he drew the men in. Slater said himself, it wasn't a plan. 99/100 times Smith/Cronk (can't remember...

    Battrick

Liking these changes, aggression, having a wrist spinner then they come out random etc. Do you guys reckon changing Fillery to a wrist spinner is worth it? He's by far my best bowler, seeing as I just sold my strong as he was getting on a bit, my best bowler after this is is a strong/prof 18...

Would You Go Along To A Neutral Test Match?

Yes, if I didn't have to travel too much, and could afford it, I definitely would.

How many professional cricketers are on this site?

I was trying to remember Jimmy Neesham's username the other day, couldn't remember. What is it? This.

What a disgraceful effort. We tried to force balls that weren't there, why couldn't we just hold onto it. Our defense was soft, we had nothing in that performance. We were outclassed when we shouldn't have been. Really, we should have kept up with them, or won. Not happy.

International Cricket Captain General Thread of Miscellany

Got the Kent save back and running, so ditched Hampshire. Just started a NZ save, have wanted to play as them for a while now. Interested in playing with them because they are a challenge, have some good young players, as well as names that aren't frustrating, and I know most of their players...

Welcome to Cricket Web - Cricket Chat

I'm Jake, I'm 14, been into Cricket since 2004. The 2005 Ashes is my earliest memory of cricket, possibly my worst, to go with 2009. I love Cricket, especially the Ashes. I've been into rugby league for around the same time as Cricket, but recently, this year, I've extended my sports to Golf...

    Captaincy; how important is it?

My thoughts exactly. A good captain manages his bowlers well and places fielders in the best possible position to take wickets and save runs, a poor captain can leak runs, miss wicket taking opportunities etc from doing this far less efficiently.

    Battrick

Keen for next season, finding myself losing interest in Battrick frequently lately, spiking for a day, then fading off for another few weeks. The off/new season can't come quick enough.
