    Pontings captaincy

Waugh had a great bowling attack? He had Mcgrath, Warne, Gillespie.. then he had the in's and outs : Lee, Bichel, Macgill, not to mention countless others that came in and out of the side. Most of those bowlers are still available and playing good cricket His last test series, he was under...

    Pontings captaincy

waugh merely inherited a good team. Had talent, and won more than they lost. However it was only after Waugh became captain, that the side was compared with the invincibles. The 16 in a row, and all that jazz all came to after waugh took over the captaincy. Until then, they were a very good...

    Pontings captaincy

that doesn't explain the loss of the killer instinct. Dropping catches are a byproduct of the lack of intensity

    Pontings captaincy

what i'm trying to say, is that they are on a rapid downward curve. The intensity is dropping away, something that waugh would never have allowed. He has the killer instinct. He will grind the opposition into the ground, and continue to ground. Cold and calculating he is. Ponting lacks that...

    Pontings captaincy

Ricky Ponting has made many incorrect decisions, and perhaps the free ride he has had so far, due to the carry over from the brilliance injected by steve waugh. The once highly disciplined team in the field, who had an aura of invincibility seems to be dead. Gone are the days when a team fears...

    Were the Australian batsmen Overrated?

I've long said this The quality of bowling has deminished drastically. Gone are the days when Curtly ambrose would charge in, with the sole intent of hurting you. Getting you out was a second preference. Nowadays, bowlers will bowl one bouncer here and there, and just walk back to their mark...

    Do Pakistan need Akhtar back?

with most of the other quicks out, the pakistani pace attack is undermanned. hence after some major research, i think they should bring back waqar and wasim :P akhtar is a tool

full substitutes and the power play overs - did it fly ?

a more effective powerplay would be to have 8 or 9 fielders on the field for the period of 5 over intervals, with no fielding restrictions, thus putting more gaps in the field and allowing batsman to be alot more daring will also give inzy a good rest ;)

    Lords Pitch

besides the balls keeping low, i love watching the ball seaming around heaps. i'm not a fan of flat pitches where any old batsman can make a good score. On seaming pitches, only a good batsman can handle the situation and make good scores. There should be more seaming pitches in world...

    hogg vs jones???

but geraint didn't really muck up hogg's figures too badly either. It was a more even contest than say, haydos vs jones... but i think Hogg won this one,but not by much
