Ish taking a lot of tap today. His lines and length has been better than his usual stuff but he's lost the zip and bounce he used to get. Maybe still early days for his remodeled run up.

To be fair don't mind Ireland scoring few runs here. Definitely like to see how our guys respond to a big score right in the first game.

I guess between Sodhi and Santner should the spin bowling responsibilities should rest I guess. If they still need another spinner to roll the arm over then best to get Phillips in. Expecting Phillips a recent convert to a bowler to bowl 10 good overs will go down the same path Bracewell's has.

OK so we've yet again snuffing out proper spin for pretenders. Sure Phillips got a wicket but more than 100% he won't be bowling in a year's time. Neither Bracewell nor Phillips will cut over the long run. At least I have time for Phillips as he has age on his side. These Irish blokes can't even...

Looks a very small ground though. Good for white ball cricket

Ish has changed his action. Running in briskly all the way. He's landing the ball fuller but not spending much time at the crease and rushing through the stride. Likely loses some turn he used to get in the past?

OK time to go to sleep. Could have been a reasonable watch if we batted first on this dampish deck. Ireland's batting on this deck looks very amateurish. Can't see a slip up here like the all blacks.

We're not that bad, particularly the bowling. Besides you can be rest assured Guptill, Latham and Nicholls have this habit of scoring a lot of runs vs lesser sides.

Hope we win the toss and bat first. The game can be decided in less than 10 overs if Allen goes for it. Although his recent scores for Yorkshire in t20 blast isn't all that great. His recent returns 3, 16, 29, 11, 1 Strangely he's not set this tourney on fire. Scored 190 runs in 9 games but...

Will only be watching for Allen, Phillips, Lockie and Duffy. Cleaver if he's playing. It's starting to bore seeing Guptill, Latham, Nicholls and the likes bashing up lesser attacks.

I have tried and it works. Serious rough on one side, ultra shiny with plenty of sweat/saliva on the other, bit of round arm and aiming towards the slips the angle and it tails in very late. Still need to have the best of the release, round arm preferable.

*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

India's top 4 weren't any better than ours. Their wicket keeper and all rounder does stack up to ours. On paper India's batting order looks like from second xi barring Kohli. Add to it KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma it looks a formidable one.

Is Vihari that good to be at no 3 for India? Saw a bit if him in NZ and he was out of sorts. Gets a bit struck in the crease.

David prefers Jadeja to Ashwin as well. Last year there was a furore for not playing Ashwin

It is true rough does create the reverse but no chance of reverse if you can't get the ball much heavier one side. It's true it doesn't work just with real rough one side and shiny the other but with no imbalance with extra weight on the shiny side. The heavier the shiny side is more the chance...

So Travis Head was the inspiration behind our boys picking a player (Bracewell) that started as a wicket keeper and trying to turn into an offie?
