*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

I see nothing wrong with Boult prioritizing family. It was on cards he was going to check away a format but this came as a surprise. He has couple of years or three max and might as well maximize his earning potential. The millions now will mean nothing in 20-30 years time. The way things are at...

Neesham is quite a come back artist isn't he? Every time they try to cut him, he seems to come back roaring. As hard as they want they can try but the man is here to stay for few years I think.

Glad to see Sears get a good run... probably missed Macewell this game. Can't quite understand why Rippon isn't playing. They played him vs Scotland thereby ending his Dutch career. Maybe if they tried him post world cup he could have played for Dutch in the qualifiers in the world cup. I wish...

*Official* New Zealand in West Indies, AUG 10 to 21, 2022

This series to a certain extent will tell us where we actually stand in white ball cricket. We have full strength team and likely at least about 9-10 players will be around now till the t20 and one day world cups. I can see through my crystal ball (not an accurate one), by next year we will have...

On Ben Sears, hard to tell how he bowled. He bowled heavy balls on a length. Some flew over keeper and some from the toe end of the bat. There is no speed gun so very hard to figure what his bowling was like. He bowled straight and heavy would define it I guess.

Oh the highlights of spark sport is shocking... they show lots of singles, miss the dismissals and sometimes some good hits. Someone from baseball putting together the highlights I guess, if the ball hits the bat it has to make the highlights.

Have tried to watch ball by ball and gave up.... Particularly the game vs scotland. It was shambles, there was no scorecard for long periods and looked a lot like club cricket feed on crichq. The graphics worked at some point in time but watching cricket without knowing the score is quite...

Will Young named the captain of Norhants. Does that mean he's not going to be picked for WI series? That's disappointing if that is so.

Obviously can't fit everyone in but would be nice to see Sears and Rippon play at some point in time. Ideally vs Ireland. Duffy bowled all right but would be nice to see Sears in his place.

Devon, Darryl, Kane, Southee, Boult and the rest of the boys will be back I think for this series. Likely T20 squad : Guptill, Darryl, Kane, Conway, Phillips, Neesham, Chapman, Santner, Boult, Jamieson (if fit), Southee, Lockie, Bracewell or Allen (prefer Allen), Sodhi, Sears Likely one day...

Never seen any thread here beyond any that doesn't say black caps ? Best not to discuss rugby, it'll end up a whinge fest. Best to keep to cricket

All right black caps better than all blacks as for 2022 is concerned (only vs Ireland)

I know it's a cricket forum but the Irish spirit is truly on this weekend. They've had a try in under 4 minutes. Going to be an interesting watch this

Honestly Latham as a captain is a disaster. I'd even take Bracewell as a captain. Latham is so clueless. Give him the best resources he'll still find a way to stuff it up.

Did I read it right? Ireland lost just by one run? Unbelievable. Hit the sack after watching our boys bat and expected Ireland to be bowled out for 250. That's a lot of runs to chase and looked like Ireland lost from the position of winning. It's so awesome to see Ireland so short of resources...

How unlucky only young scored less than run a ball. Bracewell wasn't out once in the entire series. Make hay while sun.

Luke Georgeson, if struck to the Ireland contract would have opened batting and bowled 10 overs each time. Not even close to being a regular in the Wellington red ball or white ball side. Now you get what we're up against and why I'm for the first time in many years is not up beat about how we...

Can't stand him. Not about orthodox but it's like a bloke from club cricket that looks so out of sorts but scores most runs in the comp year after year.
