    The Case for Kallis

Debatable under your framework given you get ~40% more Tendulkar time for your player.

    The Case for Kallis

Wait, IIRC you didn't have him in your top 5 cricketers in the recent CW50 voting, but you had someone who played in his times. How come?

    The Case for Kallis

The best player I've witnessed since I started following cricket seriously bar none. Absolute legend of cricket and true pioneer of kallisball.

    The Case for Kallis

...personality (you see comparatively few South African fans on the internet, in my experience, and RSA has been shafted in the amount of Tests they've played in the last few years). He is the Garfield Sobers of this era. They don't call it Kallisball for nothing. Fantastic read; great article.

Changed the match with his dismissal of KP, taken it out of England's hands with his innings. Classic example of kallisball

That's only the bowling Kallis. Batting Kallis will be second. Kallisball Kallis at number 1. :p

    *Official* Indian Premier League 2012

I think McCullum is the only keeper they have. Kallis has a good record of actually winning matches with the bat in the IPL. Lee can be a liability but he takes wickets, he is the only strike bowler they have. Those three are automatic picks. I'm surprised that you think Narine place is almost...

    *Official* Indian Premier League 2012

...Shortly followed by Narine. McCullum is a waste of time except for his keeping, Lee is a waste of time except if he actually gets a pitch that helps him and he bowls all of his overs before the death. Kallis is a waste of time except for if the pitch makes Kallisball useful instead of a...

    CW50 2nd Edition (aka WWIII) - No 21 - 30

Cribb rates Kallis fairly. It's more a case of everyone else underrating him by calling Kallisball cricket.

    CW50 2nd Edition (aka WWIII) - No 21 - 30

Yes, I know he does. But I disagree with him, but apparently, going by the rankings, more people agree with him than me, which is interesting.

    Kallisball

Does strikerate matter in judging a test bowler?

Wouldn't say Sobers' bowling was overrated exactly, as his figures back up the claim, maybe Kallisball is just a smitch underrated.
