    Garry Sobers vs Imran Khan

From 1982-1991, Allan Border and Imran Khan both averaged 53. Do you think imran was as good a batsman as border in this period. If not, why.

    Garry Sobers vs Imran Khan

Not sure in this case because the likes of hadlee, Marshall were also not prodigies. Likely he was just rated worse because was marginally less great .

    Garry Sobers vs Imran Khan

It's approximately 2/3rds for imran too. He averaged less than 30 for around 60 tests , then in his final 25-30 he became a 50+ average bat. Saying he averaged close to 50 in the final decade of his career is technically true but slightly misleading because it's very skewed towards the back...

    Cricinfo Performance Poll

How the hell did Pujara at Adelaide get knocked out so early

    The Best Wicket keeper?

I don't feel like I underrated him much. He was a good keeper to spin, but less good than the likes of Saha among Indian keepers. You'd agree I think.

    Garry Sobers vs Imran Khan

This period has two excellent series in England where he picked up 20 wickets and a series in Australia where he averaged 24, so it wasn't just India bashing like people are saying. Sobers' bowling peak had him putting up similar numbers to a good frontline pacer (in terms of actual number of...

Is that the only thing it's based on or is it also team composition.

Rank the trophy in order of importance

Only speaking for myself, but imo, India losing the WC final felt way worse than losing series away in Eng/Aus, but winning test series there (especially Aus) felt better than India winning the WC. So, I can understand people ranking the top 2 in any order. A lot of it is contextual though...

    The Best Wicket keeper?

It does. There are aspects of keeping that are more/less valuable depending on the format.

    The Best Wicket keeper?

Dhoni's glovework to spin was also not top notch imo. It was fine, but he wasn't as good against spin as say Gilchrist, let alone top tier keepers like Healy. Said it before, but everything about Dhoni was geared towards him being great in limited overs rather than tests. He had lightning quick...

    Virat Kohli vs Kagiso Rabada

Kohli's suckage as a batsman began while he was still captain, not after.

    The Best Wicket keeper?

I refuse to try and rate keepers I haven't watched because it's impossible. So, Healy for me.

*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

He's absolutely the most embarrassing part of this loss. The guy turned his career around by opting to open and played in a perfectly conventional, non coked-up manner. Seems to have forgotten all of that and smoked the intent ganja just because this approach worked wonders for him in red ball...

Road to India in Australia 2024-25

5-0 very much on the cards here. Going into a long tour of Australia with the entire team's confidence at rock bottom is about as bad as it can get. They have virtually no time to get this whitewash out of their system too.

Road to India in Australia 2024-25

England somehow getting humiliated 4-1 by this bunch of losers deserves a deep scientific study tbh.

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

Why focus on one test? You were clearly saying the general trend of spinning pitches in India has blunted bumrah at home. So I'll ask you again, what's the evidence for this considering bumrah has Sydney Barnes numbers in home test? Also do elaborate how its hurt india in overseas tests ,when...

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

Precisely what I'm saying. 12 years where the team didn't lose at home, won two series in Australia, won multiple tests in every other country they played in ( bar NZ). If the turning home pitches rendered the team unprepared for overseas tests , the results didn't really seem to bear that out...

How would 80s WI and 2000s Australia fare in unbeatable current India?

Poor Bumrah. He's picked up 47 wickets in 12 tests at home at an average of 17. India have neutralized their best weapon and rendered him toothless at home :( You blokes just type out any nonsense lmao
