He needs atleast 300 not out in this innings for his average to be 50.

Almost felt inevitable Kohli would get a 100 in this innings.

I think Sehwag would've scored fast on this pitch as he would've gotten stuck into the spinners. Especially with the lack of turn. This is his type of pitch. Other batsmen no so much.

    Steve Smith vs Sachin Tendulkar

Removing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe Tests and starting Tendulkars career at his 20th year on earth (same age Smith debuted), Tendulkar averaged 60 after 85 Tests. He was consistently averaging 60+ before that. His average then gradually dropped. Smith averaged 60 after 93 Tests while facing no...

If the game was being played in England he wouldn't. Jadeja would be picked as spinning allrounder. Kapil Dev, Srinath, Bumrah and Shami (or Zaheer) picked as seamers.

300 not out and his average will be 50 again.

@Shri you were a bit gun shy at predicting a Kohli double hundred last night after predicting a Khawaja double ton. How many will Kohli end up with tomorrow?

I'd wait til the morning session to take the new ball.

Kohli seems way too friendly with the Australian players. Always laughing and joking with them inbetween overs. He never used to be like that.

Could care less for the IPL or Twenty20 cricket in general. Far more interesting to see Kohli resurrect his Test career.

Can one of these batsmen just **** off? I want to see Kohli bat.

Why did Shane Warne struggle so much against India

The late, great Aussie leg-spinner Shane Warne was frequently left frustrated during Test matches in India. Pic: Getty Tailoring pitches to nullify opposition bowlers is nothing new in India. Veteran Chennai groundsman K Parthasarathy admitted he played a role in ensuring Shane Warne would not...

If you were to declare tonight it would be with less then 5 overs go. So you get 2 cracks at them with the new ball. If you declare 15-20 overs tonight then India doesn't face the new ball in the morning. India could 0/70 and right back in the game. I'd still prefer to bat as long as possible...

India could easily get 500 if they bat on day 2 and 3. Pitch is still really good to bat on. Green is striking at 70. If Kohli or Sharma get going, Australia could pull back a bit. I think you need as much runs as possible so you can just attack hard with the spinners and try and force mistakes.

If these two keep going they should look to get as close as possible to 600 even if it goes into day 3. They don't look like getting out. Force India to make at least 400. Give them minimal time to bat on the wicket while it's still good.
