Group B - Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe

Everything about them seems unsustainable to me. The thing is I have been closely following their cricket (all formats) for the last 25 years or so and apart from a few flashes in the pan, I don't see any overall change in their way of playing or administration of the game. When I look at the...

Group B - Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Zimbabwe

Congrats to Ireland for their all-around dedicated performance. No surprises there from 'Waste' Indies. The players and staff will be getting their paycheck and that's what matters to them. The only win they can think of picking up is an award for - "Longest running **** show in any sport" (...

*Official* New Zealand in Australia 2022

With a win percentage of 30 against the Aussies since 1974, I wonder why the Kiwis are sent to play against Australia every year. How many times can you see the same clueless lambs being slaughtered? On mercy grounds, there should be no Kiwi vs Oz series until Kiwis build up a team actually...

    2022 West Indies 4-Day Championship

Can anyone tell me if there any place where I can see the current averages of batsmen/ bowlers in WI FC and list A games ranked in order of top 10 / top 20 ? Basically, I am curious to know who are the best batsmen and bowlers in domestic cricket in WI at the moment.

*Official* India vs West Indies 2022

Wondering about WI selection policies is an exercise in futility but even then ...Darren Bravo in favour of N Bonner... why? And selectors think Hayden Walsh will trouble the Indians with his spin? On another note, this series could have been named "WI humiliation(??? do they even...

So rahane is out with an "injury" :naughty: No big loss but Jadeja's loss could hurt.

105 run partnership for 9th wicket. Record at Galle. Great going Waste Indies. :p

***Official*** West Indies tour of Sri Lanka, November/December 2021

At the moment, the field settings and the body language of the WI communicate only one message - " We have given up". Very familiar scenario as expected of teams at the bottom of the table - can't play 2-3 sessions of good cricket at one go.

Congrats to both sides for giving us a fantastic game of cricket and kudos to NZ for hanging on for the draw. However, as a greedy NZ cricket fan who wants more & more from the team I wonder what would be their plan for India from Batsman no. 5 onwards because none of them seem to have got a...

You are very optimistic, I think. Of course, we can always differ in our thoughts. I will respectfully continue to differ from you. As I write this the lead is of 216 runs, Iyer gone but I don't see NZ coming back into this match. Hope I will be proven wrong. Irrespective of the result of this...

Meanwhile Sunny G on air " If India get a lead of 200, they will win I think. If Ravindra is getting so much turn, imagine how much turn Axar & co. will get." I agree with his thoughts. Rest, will hope against hope that his words don't come true. Best of luck Kiwis.

Yes...8 times out of 10, that is always there when you are playing India in India. But I was just being lil' optimistic. :)

***Official New Zealand in India Nov-Dec 2021 Thread***

Hate to break the news but India have got away here. 150 plus score will be difficult for NZ against Axar & co. Poor captaincy from KW. When you had them at 51/5, you bowled defensively instead of attacking with your best bowlers.

Can someone explain the thinking of KW behind getting Rachin Ravindra to bowl now after lunch? When the need of the hour is to wrap up the innings asap by using your best bowlers what is KW doing?

The FINAL, Australia v New Zealand (THE BATTLE OF THE MITCHELLS) at the Ring of Fire, Dubai-- 11/14 Sunday (N)

You can't show up in a final with 4 out of 5 bowlers misfiring. Kiwis why do you always choke against the Aussies? Anyway, bye bye Kiwis and congrats to Aus. And Brilliant knock from KW when it mattered but your bowlers ruined all your efforts. P.S. even if god comes down to earth and tells me...

Australia v Pakistan (BRING IT ON!) at the Ring of Fire, Dubai-- 11/11 Thursday (N), Semi-final #2

Was almost set for a NZ vs PAK final mentally but as usual Aussies showed that we can underestimate them at our own peril. Now familiar foes meet again but somehow I suspect that Aussies will be the happier team for meeting NZ in the final. Anyway, now with Conway out of the final due to that...

England v New Zealand (SUPER OVER? BOUNDARY COUNTBACK?) at Abu Dhabi, 11-10 Wednesday (N), Semi-final #1

It was difficult to imagine NZ getting out of this hole and I had almost given up all hope in the 15th over but words can't express my happiness now. Congrats Kiwis. ???? Now to focus on the final. Concerns remain about death bowling by Southee & Neesham but...
