I wonder if this means Woakes will play. He has a rotten record overseas but in cloudy conditions he can be a serious handful. Plus he can bat, obvs. And just generally very dependable. Top 6 is fine. In fact, if a bit of form is found, it's potentially a pretty good top 6. Bairstow maybe better than Buttler in Tests but, again, I wouldn't expect much from either of them. Spin cupboard is horrifically bare. You do want a spinner at the Gabba so I suppose Leach gets the gig...- zaremba

Maybe I'm unfair on Boycott because he was slightly before my time. I was a big Atherton fan, and since then a big Cook fan, so I do appreciate a bit of graft and grind. My anti-Boycott prejudice is also driven by him being one of the very worst type of people that cricket allows to thrive.- zaremba
