apologies ,looks like google weather is wrong. i checked here and day 4 isnt raining much if thats right ,the result will be known in a few hours of play. It says sunny intervals, aus chances of winning are next to nothing. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcwfhjjxu#?date=2023-07-09

its going to be raining again- so a lot of the DAY 4&5 lost to rain, no sunny period at all- all overcast unlike DAY 3 Aus may be able to eke out a draw here if all wash out. Based on the forecast, looks like only 1-1.5hr of play possible max over 2days, with day 5 full rain.

Yep something like 5-6 wickets. i think the openers will be tough to get rid of, if they are 0/100 , australia are done.

It's very close to being over. Tongue and wood, woakes have better pace.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Anderson's test career could be over given the rise of Tongue, and the successful returns of Wood and Woakes

Will Anderson even return for 4th test? Surely you can't drop Woakes- 6 wickets potentially match winning. Tongue is also bowling better and will replace the injured Robinson

If it's a sunny first session, we could lose the game inside that session. Par score was 350 range I feel Eng bowling attack has been good this game, Anderson and tongue will return for 4th test

If England win, David Warners career should be over.

cummins 2 overs for 17, is my thinking it will be boland this time, he's due.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

they would need good swing and cloud cover when play resumes. i would think boland would be the key in that condition. there is no sun forecast today. last evening, there was a late evening sun- eng's 0/28 was scored in those favourable conditions.

    Labuschagne test average

Kohli is a bit better, but both are nowhere near great

gut feeling it looks like a loss. not enough runs on the board to play it and an insipid bat performance(apart from Marsh in 1st iNN and head in 2nd INN) in both innings feels like it. Duckett is in form and whittling away the total.

Nope. Not without Nathan lyon factor- if they did have would be.
