It was a terrible toss to lose, though the bowlers (if not the fielders) have kept England competitive, and at 211-2 you have to say England were on top. Bazballing is unlikely to result in a win, it’s arguably the reason for why England got into this mess in the first place, but on a pitch doing things in the 4th innings, it’s worth a go as playing normally will likely result in a heavy defeat anyway- LangleyburyCCPlayer

A target of 250-300 would still be hard, don’t get me wrong, especially in these conditions, but England like chasing, taking the game to them would suit better than simply blocking and losing wickets anyway- LangleyburyCCPlayer

It feels churlish to say it was a big chance to beat them at home when they haven’t lost to anyone since 2012 when we beat them, but they were missing key players.
