    England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

So long ago that Broad would have been a prized wicket!

    England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Cox at 3 would be less insane as he has experience of batting up the order at county level (albeit usually at 4, not sure how often he’s in the top 3), but even that would be a bit mental seeing how he’s struggled in the limited overs games he’s played this winter. I actually don’t mind the...

    *Official* Afghanistan v Bangladesh ODIs

There’s a lot to be said about Afghanistan, some of it naturally very negative, but just how have they managed to rise up the ranks so quickly when the country is in a state, and when Bangladesh (who themselves are a team on the up these days) have been playing for far longer? Is it a case of...

India will not travel to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy

It's interesting that the whole reason this whole tournament started was to spread the game to developing cricketing nations, now it's got to be so exclusive that there isn't space for some of the oldest and most established cricketing nations on the planet. It may now be held in an associate...

India will not travel to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy

India will play, or the tournament won’t go ahead, simple as, I don’t see any other scenario outside of India playing in Dubai. If that means the semis and final have to be moved there, so be it. Don’t get why Pakistan can go to India, but the reverse can’t happen, England have been to Pakistan...

*Official* England in the West Indies 2024

Not sure Salt should be neither, sure, it’s great to see him hitting a ton here, but he’s struggled to get to grips with the longer format. Expect our CT squad to look very different to what we’ve been fielding of late, but it’s hard to know exactly how the likes of Root and possibly Stokes will...

*Official* England in the West Indies 2024

Usually when the top order struggle but the guys lower down the order smash runs, it’s a sign that the pitch isn’t bad!

IPL 2025 retentions / mega auction

There’ll be some team willing to pick him up on name value, and I’d love to see it

IPL 2025 retentions / mega auction

I would hasten to say he has the best bowling average of anyone in the auction!

Thank You James Anderson- Farewell Thread

My concern was if we got to Pakistan and the bowling struggled without the know-how of Anderson, in the end we struggled there, but the seamers were absolutely fine, it was the batting that was the main issue. Think the same lot who did well in Pakistan will do fine in New Zealand

Thank You James Anderson- Farewell Thread

Chris Woakes batted at 7 against Sri Lanka, I would agree with that sentiment if he were a bunny, but he’s in the team as an all-rounder rather than solely as a bowler
