    We play no test cricket for 7-8 months after this series. You can't blame players grinding domestic cricket if they just say **** it and pick up T20 contracts instead.

    I don't think it's the worst idea in the world to surround the England team with local knowledge. Devcich was pretty ordinary but he's probably played with or against most of the NZ team.
