  • All the best on the interview result my man! I'll definitely have you in my prayers. Sorry about the car expense. I know how that goes. Last summer my car's AC broke. It's hot as hell in Texas so I had to replace it right away and it cost me a good amount.

Once you get settled in with the new position and all, you need to visit the United States. I'll take you to an American sports game here (baseball/football/basketball) that I'm sure you'll enjoy. Plus, I'll finally convert you to my anti-Imran political believes! ;-)
I don't post that often in off topic in any case. And I was genuinely puzzled by such situations. TC raised some interesting points but it was difficult to imagine somebody like rihanna doesn't have many options.
Hey man! Things are good, I can't complain. Actually been very busy at work lately. Have barely been able to log onto CW this past week. But I actually enjoy the work I'm doing so no complaints.

How about you? Still enjoying the new job? Settled into the new place?
Haha don't worry too much about it. Sanz has a habit of entering debates midway and getting all abrasive unnecessarily. Has called many people all kinds of names including me.

We may disagree on some things, but it's always good to debate with you.
Not great, brother is constantly in and out of hospital. Resigned to him not getting the transplant he needs to save his life. Nan is wonderful, back to old self. Stubborn old goat. Thanks for asking.
Hey, sorry for the delayed response. Just has been a hectic day. Obviously, I don't think what he said is right or even appropriate. You and I have debated on the subject numerous times over the past year and not once have you ever defended the TTP. One can strongly disagree with the American drone policy without being a TTP supporter obviously. I think that thread had run its course and it was good that it was closed. For future reference, you have a full right to defend yourself against any such allegations, as long as you don't resort to personal insults yourself.
I've seen his comment now, and I'll certainly say this - I'm definitely not in agreement with what he said, and you have every right to be offended/get defensive about it. That doesn't mean what he did was against the rules, and we'll sort that out as a mod team over the next day or so, but I don't think you're over-reacting. Just try to make sure you don't resort to insulting him or calling him names (which you haven't so far) and you're within your rights to defend yourself there.
I haven't even read his comment yet; I just didn't think you needed to start a new thread for something someone said in an existing one. I see you've reported the post now so the mods feel it's crossed the line then it'll be dealt with.
hey dim wit. You didn't say anything at all about the Raven's shadow. Do you plan to check it out?
I didn't really do anything interesting at Eid, but it was still enjoyable. Went to Eid prayer in the morning. Then had a dinner get together with friends and family, which was really fun.

How about you? How was your Eid?
For the Compliance or the managers?

Either way, I dunno! I've a mate who's down in compliance, but only at an AO, he says its the easiest fare he's ever had - He has a target of opening 10 cases A YEAR! All my mates who've gone up a grade have either stayed in the Contact Centre or gone to Criminal Investigations, and they can't really talk too much about what they do.

As for the managers one, I only find out next week what City and directorate I'm in (could be compliance myself, possibly stay in Personal Tax, at a push possibly benefits as I did select Preston as my backup work place).

Are you still down as being a TFTA, or did it get converted to fixed term appointment the other month? If its the latter, you can apply for any job internally so long as you've completed probation
Ah, the external route. You've done well to get that far, many didn't. I did get offered the chance to do the test, but withdrew from it when I got the managers gig instead.
Aye, is that the 85 going in CI at the end of the month, or the 400 caseworker/100 manager roles they did recently.... As I've got one of the manager roles (awaiting confirmation next week, but got 4s on the interview and 97% on the test so I'm pretty much home!)
Really disappointing. I still don't think it was because of picking too many spinners. We were still in a strong position to win and just gave it away. Unfortunately it's this type of a loss, this inability to be ruthless and grab the advantage, that keeps us in the middle of world rankings with no realistic hope of cracking the top 3.
