Kapil has some high octane key knocks over that period. Stokes is carried hard by a singular Ashes.
It's the opposite. Stokes didn't do much with the ball in that series barring one tireless spell but had good overall bowling output in the period specified. A far more consistent tool than any version of Kapil's batting and he was high impact as well as an old ball partnership breaker.Kapil has some high octane key knocks over that period. I meant his overall peak is hard carried by 2019 Ashes, which was ATG. His bowling was more consistent, not sure whether it was more impactful though. It's the opposite. It isn't. His 2016-2020 peak returned more dominant numbers than anything sustained by Kapil. And it's not as though he ever padded not outs and gave his batting a flattering look. His bowling was better than Kapil's batting imo.I meant his overall peak is hard carried by 2019 Ashes, which was ATG. His bowling was more consistent, not sure whether it was more impactful though.
Burden of captaincy? In 2016-20, Stokes was seen as superior to Root, how the times have changed...
Root in 2018-2020 had some technical flaws to work out. I guess Stokes decline is just his injuries catching up and due to lockdown/personal problems his mental health imploded pretty bad in 2021 and he took a looong break, he's been good since becoming captain actually...atleast against fast bowling.Burden of captaincy?
where is that guy now?Narayana's philosophy of the newer player the better he is scaling heights with Stokes > Kapil > Worrell
