Lara/Sachin faced the two greatest spinners plus Saqlain, Kumble, Macgill etc And faced the following pacers: McGrath, Gillespie, Reifel, Reid, Ambrose, Walsh, Bishop, Fannie, Donald, Pollock, Wasim, Waqar etc That's 4 of the ten best pacers ever with McGrath arguably being the goat. Root and Smith faced: Cummins, Haze, Starc Jadeja, Ash, Bumrah, Shami, Rabada, Wagner, Jamieson. I spot maybe 3 greats for Smith/Root: Cummins, Bumrah, Rabada and Ash. With only Cummins and Bumrah being close to the top rung of greatness. Both sets faced strong bowling but the 90s is decidedly better. And 90s bowlers performed home and away.
