Pakistan have been poor in all but one game so far pretty boring series
Is this Hay? I said he doesn't look comfortable hitting from ball one in T20s or as a finisher. But clearly when he's in, he hits it as clean as anyone. Theres natural hitters - CDG the best example I can think of - and guys who can hit but it isn't their natural pace. That's Hay to meId love to know why he has this reputation as someone with no power. He’s shown this sort of ball striking ability a few times now
Yeah, very common for a tall guy whose natural length is above the stumps. One of those guys who you can attribute to when wickets fall at the other endI feel like we're at the point where O'Rourke being unable to take wickets when he's on peak form is very much a thing
Scored a heap of runs against us that one test series (I looked it up, was 2 tests back in 20/21), don't know how he averages as little as 11 in ODI cricket from 35 matches.I'm astounded that 28 was Ashraf's previous high score. Somehow he's one of those guys where I feel like every time I've watched Pakistan play for the last 6-7 years he's been playing, but he actually hasn't played that much international cricket. I didn't realise that his batting numbers (and overall numbers tbh) were so generally poor.
Finally the NZ bowler of my dreams has arrivedWillow Rook is more likely to remove the entire tail via concussion than get anyone out
AgreeI was going to say we might have realized Jacob Duffy is a near world class bowler too late, but he's only 30.
With the benefit of hindsight, he probably gets picked ahead of Tim Southee in the England series
Haha, good point! I'd forgotten about the Southee farewell tour. 100% rightAgree
Yeah, feels like he should be the same age as the likes of Henry, but that debut at 17 always throws you off.I was going to say we might have realized Jacob Duffy is a near world class bowler too late, but he's only 30.
With the benefit of hindsight, he probably debuts ahead of Nathan Smith in the England series
Things that aged extremely fastWouldn't you say Seifert is several times superior to Hay as well? I'm not sure why they're persisting with Hay when Seifert is in the background with his form and experience.
