Malinga's peak years were during IPL. And when you compare peak to peak, Bumrah still wins out.

BS. Malinga's peak years were when he could clock up to low to mid 150s regularly. By 2009 he was getting only up to high 140s.

Yeah but it's not all about pace, Malinga was smarter and had more control over his variations in the early 2010s. His best T20I work also came in that period.
Even if his best came in mid 2000s as you say, it's still no reason to say Malinga was better than Bumrah in the IPL.

Malinga was Great in IPL. I feared him. But he wasn't as ruthlessly efficient as Bumrah

At that point variations didn't matter much. At 150k, if you haven't picked up the release, you were done. This was the time he was bouncing out exceptional players of pace like KP and Gilchrist.
