So? I discussed them in context of H2Hs, and Lyon's been notably worse there. So what if Ashwin didn't play in the 2nd test in 2018 it was the same batting Lyon was facing.
Ashwin is better in India though Lyon has performed well there IMO. He performed well in tests outside those you mentioned.
Sure Ashwin did better in 2021. But I never disputed that. Only that Lyon has performances vs Ind in Aus that Ashwin doesn't vs Aus.
Subz sure enjoys backing the loser quite often. Not sure why he's so willing to believe in magical fantasies.Who could’ve predicted the thread would turn into this
Yeah that's not how it works, it's not a boxing match. You are facing two different lineups. So? I discussed them in context of H2Hs, and Lyon's been notably worse there.
Ashwin has consistently chocked in SENA in defining games. I don't even know why you would bring this up.Not well enough to be better than Ashwin. Sucks that you can't realise you're backing a choker here.
As usual, you don't take long to resort to ad hominems.Subz sure enjoys backing the loser quite often. Not sure why he's so willing to believe in magical fantasies.
So if we look overall, Ashwin still comes out on top regardless of your hyperfixation on SENA. Doesn't say a lot about you to still be in denial about this.Yeah that's not how it works, it's not a boxing match. You are facing two different lineups.

Lol as usual you just go back to the fallback of him succeeding in his home spicy conditions. So if we look overall, Ashwin still comes out on top regardless of your hyperfixation on SENA. Doesn't say a lot about you to still be in denial about this.
Saeed Ajmal clears everyone by a decent margin in sena pitchesI mean, Herath has longevity and that’s pretty much it. Obviously they played very different roles but c’mon, Herath averages 40+ in 5 countries.
Maharaj doesn’t take big hauls, and I feel like that would be unreasonable to expect given SA’s attack, but he does his job and keeps it tight and takes wickets pretty much everywhere. Other than weight of wickets as main bowler vs usually 4th most used bowler, Herath’s best thing compared to Maharaj is probably his Australia record. Both struggle vs India home and away.
Odd to say about someone in comparison to Herath, but I think Maharaj is more rounded.
Couldn't clear his action tho.
So he is worse than Jaddu in SENA while chuckingAjmal's real stats in SENA:-
8 matches, 27 wickets @39.19
Hafeez only averages 31. Shows why WPM is also quite important along with avg whilst rating bowlers.
Regardless of pitch, he's been superior to every other spinner across the games he's played. Lyon doesn't match that at all.Lol as usual you just go back to the fallback of him succeeding in his home spicy conditions.
Lyon better as an allround bowler simple as that
Can you redo this list without UAE? You're making me thing that Abdur Rehman and Mohammad Hafeez might have been world beaters.
Why 2010 to 2025? That excludes his matches in NZ and AUS.
Because most of the current era bolwers debuted after 2010Why 2010 to 2025? That excludes his matches in NZ and AUS.
