The BennyBash League strikes again. I only watched a 9-minute highlight package but I saw the following:Benny says hi @SteveNZ
Check out this quote from me, in late 2021: Finn was educated in the most optimal of environments, so don't worry about him being gormless or unable to adapt himself to the circumstances.I'm afraid Finn is just a walking joke now. And to think @SteveNZ once thought he might be the next big thing.
He got 137 off 62 balls against Pakistan last summer. I think he'll come right. It's not as though the other openers really fared any better last night on that surface. One Kiwi who is enhancing his reputation so far is Seifert. His innings was crucial last night. Follows an unbeaten 37 off 19 balls in their win over the Hobart Hurricanes. That innings he played against Australia at the T20 world cup just over 2 years ago looks flukier and flukier every day.
Personally think the best sign for the Gades is they could still beat the Scorchers after such mind boggling incompetence. When a team tries all it can to lose and fate won't let them, then they're probably in for a good season. This gades outfit are growing on me. There 2/3 with a good NRR without mcgurk, brown, Evans or bethel really doing much and zampa not at his best. Youde expect a few of those guys to get their act together as the season goes deeper so good signs. Death bowling is dogwater and the 6/7 look weak unless Sutherland keeps up his form, but I feel pretty confident in them making play-offs.
