Afghanistan v New Zealand - Only Test

Abey c***** BCCI doesn't own or operate every stadium in the country, just because they offered Noida doesn't mean they use/operate it. The Brabourne stadium is owned by CCI, DY Patil by Reliance DY Patil Sports Academy, Kotla by DDCA - did ACB contract BCCI to host this test or was it mostly on...

Afghanistan v New Zealand - Only Test

Oh, shut the **** up. BCCI gave 3 options to ACB; they chose probably the cheapest option. BCCI has nothing to do with the ground or facilities; this isn't your game of monopoly where anything goes by; there are real jurisdictional and procedural issues when dealing with other authorities! Did...

I don't watch the IPL, but I'm sure every one of the 5-year-olds posting in this thread probably thinks they live in a utopia, whereas in the real world nothing is free and your own decisions have consequences!

It must be nice from where you are giving away other people's money, right? Do you also donate on behalf of your neighbors their monies or pay their taxes from your pocket? Talk is cheap

So why do you think India doesn't play here? Maybe you'll come up with another asinine reason to blame it all on BCCI? https://www.thehindu.com/sport/cricket/noida-stadium-banned-by-bcci/article19716020.ece

Afghanistan v New Zealand - Only Test

The ground is not under UPCA; FFS check the links I posted, nor does BCCI use it. It's like y'all really think BCCI needed to sabotage the NZ team to win a series 3-nil :glare: A ground where they played all their games? Just to be clear, I would blame the weather first, then everything else...

Keep in mind this was probably a few months (years?) back, so they wouldn't have anticipated the unseasonal rains.

    Dhoni or ponting

Yeah apparently missed that, ODI's for me are the third wheel on the cricketing "bicycle" as of now i.e. irrelevant. Bring back the one new ball rule then we might actually enjoy them more.

It was always supposed to be played at that ground; it was never "rescheduled," AFAIK. If you're talking about BCCI not helping ACB "properly," then yes, I agree with that, although with a caveat that it's possibly above their pay grade.

    Dhoni or ponting

Say what? Winning three times down under in a row isn't significant? You know the last team, before SA, that beat Oz at their home thrice row? Or the last team that beat them (thrice) in a series of at least 4 tests? I'd give up a WC for that, although I'm almost sure RGS wouldn't

BCCI doesn't own or operate this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaheed_Vijay_Singh_Pathik_Sports_Complex You do know that there are stadiums that are private or public and not owned by the BCCI, right?

As for the larger point about hosting it properly, that is true, but again probably influenced by geopolitics as well. Let's see if BCCI continues shoving ACB like that or not; if it's a pattern, then politics is definitely a factor!
