Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Clearly they aren't anticipating this. Who should be first to try it out?

Reading the ICC Playing Conditions (rather than just pointlessly speculating) that replace Law 21.2-3, the umpire can only call a delivery on the field if it "does not correspond to the bowler’s normal bowling action." This reads to me as being for one-off deliberate deliveries. In Kuhnemann's...

Interesting take on Bradman's concentration levels.

I'll have to take your word for it given I don't have access to full stats and cannot reconcile those figures with those I can find, but including 'minor' matches isn't good practice. Interesting take on Bradman's concentration levels.

I don't think that's right. Averaged 110 in the Sheffield Shield, and I doubt the other first-class matches played in Australia at the time (vs Tassie or WA, select XI's, etc.) would have changed that much. Overall first class average of 95.14, and I suspect his lowest average was English tour...

Seven gives us audio of Warner telling McAndrew to try make Hardie hit straight after Hardie hits him over mid-wicket. McAndrew follows this advice by bowling it down leg, to be hit over square leg. Smart cricket.

I have always been sceptical of the explanation that 'the fingers are actually under the ball, it's just foreshortening' when it comes to these sorts of decisions. However, that decision would be out according to the standards by which such catches have been almost always judged.
