    Foakes batting at Test level declined but you have to bear in mind he usually batted in the SC where runs were probably harder to score. If England had a more settled top order then you could have your best keeper average 30.

    Ramps had a FC average of over 50 so there was a strong logic to selecting him. Crawley has done nothing at this level and lucked out due to who his dad is mates with.
