    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

I mean personally I would have rathered his contract go to some young local bat (someone like Hamish Case springs to mind) but I suspet a few Jolimont St types wouldn't have been too happy about him being cut. Can't really see him even getting picked in red ball cricket tbqh

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Sorry I'm a bit lost on what you are saying? Albeit that may have something to do with being at the pub all day, I'm probably missing something here

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Yeah, your man Douwtjie Hoogenboezem has been signed. He mainly opened for the WA 2nds when he played and did bloody well at times, was genuinely pleased when it was announced he was moving to South Australia. Still absolutely think Street would have been very handy though

*Official* WTC FINAL Australia vs South Africa 2025

Presuming you are still talking about Hazlewood not Starc, unfortunately I have to agree. Would pick a fully fit Haze all day everyday, but with him having an injury plagued summer and having played nothing but T20s since returning I really can't see how to have faith in him getting through a...

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Definitely a weird career to look back on. I guess at his age it's not a massive surprise to see NSW move on entirely, but it still does look a touch odd considering he is still getting a gig as an overseas player for Sussex. Bryce Street getting cut and not getting a contract offer from...

    Formula 1

Regardless of the exact circumstances it certainly was an impressive lap, well done to young Antonelli Must say what has most impressed me about his season so far is how neat it's been though. Him being capable of being fast doesn't shock me, but considering the experience level I was expecting...

    English Domestic Season 2025

Yeah I noticed that. Appartently the deal was signed at the start of March (so likely before he would have known he was being cut from the South Australian list) but I ovboiusly missed that at the time Don't believe he's one of those with a UK passport like Guthrie was, so it definitely seems a...

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

You are talking about the kidney issue he has right? I was only originally thinking of the back problems for my earlier post admittedly, wasn't aware of a link between a kidney condition and cramp but this is definitely a subject where you would know far more than myself

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Think the next few Gloucestershire games will determine a lot if Green is ready to play tests again or not quite. It was cramp that led to him leaving the field in that recent game, may be just as simple as a side effect of not spending any time in the middle in a lot of months, if he gets...

    U-23 World Cup tomorrow

Ahh OK. Personnel in the squad probably wouldn't change much, although I would probably promote Dixon to open and bring JDavies into the starting XI in that case. Agreed on the quicks, definitely think there is some decent talent here in Australia in that respect (as there is also with South...

    Formula 1

Fair point honestly. Goes to show to some extent how a very good driver and team combination can seemingly sustain a level of dominance for longer than has traditionally been the case (14 seperate champions each in the previous two thirds respectively). I suppose a 2000 F1 car looks far closer...

    U-23 World Cup tomorrow

    Assuming this squad would be for a red ball game 1. Sam Konstas 2005 2. Nivethan Radhakrishnan 2002 3. Campbell Kellaway 2002 4. Hugh Weibgen 2004 (C) 5. Harry Dixon 2005 6. Cooper Connolly 2003 7. Lachlan Shaw 2002 (WK) 8. Jackson Sinfield 2003 9. Tom Straker 2005 10. Jack Nisbet 2003 11...

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Does seem somewhat odd that Hughes has a county deal yet NSW look highly likely to move on. I mean I know he isn't exactly in the first flush of youth, and spent a lot of time out injured during the most recent season, but I would have still thought he would have a bit left in the tank at this...

    Formula 1

21st century doing a fair bit of heavy lifting in the above post. Only 9 champions in that timeframe, and of them Raikkonen and Button are the only other two to only get one title. I would agree that Rosberg is the weakest of those three, but that's hardly a withering criticism imo Still...
