    About the players you may be unfamiliar,

    Sidat Wettamuni - very correct opening batsman. Scored an epic 190 against ENG at Lords.
    Brendon Kuruppu - SL's first wk batsman. Regarded as a dasher, but scored slowest test double century on his debut against a rampaging Hadlee. Averages 50 in test cricket, although he played limited number of test matches

    Ravi Ratnayake - tall left hand batsman, who had a very good technique, and a real grafter. Had opened the batting few times and scored a 90 and few fifties. Right arm lively fast medium bowler who could move the ball both ways. He held the record for best bowling in an innings before Murali broke it.

    Rumesh Ratnayake - slingy quick bowler who can be extremely slippery on his day. Monster hitter of the cricket ball as well.
