*Official* English Football Season 2006-07

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
We got him from barnsley, and yeah i think he did come through the City ranks. great player. He was 20 minutes from Blackpool, on his way to sign for them, when Ronnie Moore phoned him up and said, "come and sign for a proper club in a town that isn't full of gypsies and crooks instead" so he did.

Sounds like the days when Brian Clough used to go and sleep over at the player's house who he wanted to sign.

Anyway last night Chelsea can be beaten, and in their bogey team Liverpool in Cup matches and Crouch was again the hero for the Reds.

If they can turn their form they show in Cup competitions, then perhaps they could really challenge Chelsea, and they have the have a pretty good squad on paper as well, and if Chelsea do some how implode, then I think Liverpool would be the best team out of Arsenal and Man U and the rest to win the league. However the chances of that are minimal, but stranger things have happened in football.

However i think it will be:

1/ Chelsea
2/ Liverpool
3/ Arsenal (depending on who they sign, if anybody before the window shuts and if Mr Cole joins another Cole at Stamford Bridge and Reyes gets moved on as well)
4/ Man U

I think if Arsenal can get a left back and centre back, and a good one, then they will have all the players they will need.

it was great that my boys won the game. i am watching it on fox i recorded it. chelsea on paper have a great side. i think chelsea will be the team to beat however i think but hpefully not being biased that liverpool definately can challenege however we need to get off to a much better start than what we did last season. we also have a bad or not soo good august / sept.

but giddy up liverpool...........go the boys.........oh danny boy.........

Difference being that they don't have any constraints so it's not wasting anything.
There was an article in yesterday's Observer that said Chelsea have jizzed over £100 million up the wall on transfers in 3 years. Obscene, really.

I'll leave my predictions till the end of the transfer window or at least the first round of games.

Liverpool are a very good cup team though. They've won the FA Cup, League Cup(actually this may have been 94 or 95 v Bolton, not sure about since then), CL and UEFA cups in the last 10 years and they played some great games to win them.

Thing is, it could equally have happened at any club training session.

Messes my fantasy team up though :(

i havent made my side yet, i have one in mind, but i did reasonably well last year (mid table), i shall wait until closer to the start of the season so i can account for all the transfers still to go through etc.. rather than risk losing points for changes i have to make after the season starts.
