They've been put in a special archive devoted to posts that were far too important for this thread... 8-)
Whoa.. That archive must be the base of the intellectual iceberg, of which CC is just the tip..

Stupid to predict seeing as instead of McGrath, it could be Flintoff in 2006 stepping on a ball on the first day of a test match injuring himself. So its much too far away to predict with way too many variables.

Alot depends on the fitness of McGrath and Warne of course, as without them Aus look just a good side rather than a great one. With MacGill in tow Aus will surely win at the Sydney Charcoal Ground, but I think the rest will be pretty competitive and I optimistically predict 1-1, but wouldn't be surprised if we go down 2-1.

Whatever, Aus will be favourites.

If (and that's a massive if) England keep improving, then they have a real chance of beating Australia - however, in the current situation, I would say Australia are probably 70-30 favourites.

I, however, believe that England will keep improving - which is why my prediction is 3-2 England.

It will be an absolute cracker of a series. Im actually typing this on my lap-top - as Im already sleeping out at the Gabba ticket office queing for Ashes tickets. :D

seriously its way too early to predict, but for me i hope Australia win everything between now & then plus if England can do the same the battle next summer down under could be even more fantastic...
