I always end up watching the first week or two then the play offs or just the final. 4 weeks would be fine. Crowds never seem to drop though, not sure about TV audiences, but on face value it looks like they have a case, maybe even for expending

Unfortunately, now that they have decided they will have the same months as IPL, they are gonna face a lot of this unfortunately. Whenever players are injured and replacements are sought, such scenarios will come up. Not sure they can do much if the IPL franchise just decides to pay out the penalty to the PSL. Guess they can make some money out of this though.
Guess only thing they can do is ban players who do it from the PSL. But players will probably risk it for the IPL.

They have actually said this in the newly defined rule. The 2 year ban will apply for players pulling out for reasons other than injury for which they need to provide a medical certificate from the board.

Every year we see lists like these. Some of them are fast tracked into the set up only to fail. Others get injured. Most of them just straight up suck. I can only recall one relatively successful bowler we’ve picked for speed in recent times - Umesh.
