Final – India v New Zealand – Sunday, March 9 – Dubai

India clearly were nervous at the start but spin has given them much needed control of this game , terrific captaincy from Rohit to bring on Kuldeep early ..What a spell of bowling this is

NZ are still going at 6 an over

Even if they take time here, shouldn't be a problem. Just don't go gung-ho England style. 250 is a winning score.
6 an over is a lagging indicator. 3 down and not much batting to come(in these spin conditions). not a strong batting lineup at all for the conditions. I think Australia was probably the 2nd best team of the tournament, they didnt play NZ to really get a gauge, played India tightly with a 2nd string attack. SAF were largely terrible, their attack was very wawyard and expensive in the SF.

crap tournament as not all the major teams play each other to gauge the true ranking, and rain meant we were robbed of proper games.

Either have a longer tournament, reserve days, and scrap ODIS 2nd string tournaments outside the WC. The ICC needs to commit to a position on this matter. Tests and T20s are the primary formats now. Just play them mostly all year. No longer a fan of ODIS, theres too much dithering/go slow from most of the teams in a match, as teams dont want to get bowled out prior to the 50 overs.

Yeah Rohit Sharma really going against the grain of Indian captaincy history by *checks notes* turning to spin when *checks scorecard* seamers had no effect

He could have held Kuldeep back , generally he bowls in the middle overs ..Also I don't appreciate your saltiness, your team is losing that's not my fault.

Aaron Finch saying that we should be aiming for a score of around 270 to 275 rather than a score of 300 or more, I would probably take 275 right now.

Just get a decent score on the board and let Santner and co turn the screws.

Whatever it takes!!!
Mitchell is looking bloody good though. Not put a foot wrong so far. Latham is usually the type of batsmen our spinners hate - the Andy Flower, Shiv Chanderpaul, Michael Bevan mode busy player with lots of sweeps and stuff. Axar and Jaddu have to step up else this game is gone.

Wont be a surprise to see us lose a big game though. :(
