Semi-Final #2- New Zealand v South Africa- Wednesday, March 5th- Lahore

Bahseph

International Debutant
Don’t know if we have what it takes to chase this. If QDK was there I would have given us more of a chance.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I feel like this pitch actually had a little bit more in it for the seamers early on but South Africa didn't really capitalize, but maybe I was reading it wrong. Jamieson and O'Rourke could take a bag or go at 7s.

I know it's easier to say in the aftermath but I reckon they should've turned down that single on the last ball of the 47th over.

It gave Bracewell the strike and he managed 4 runs in 4 deliveries.

The Kiwi's could've piled on maybe another 15-20 runs if they let Phillips farm the strike.

Pretty happy with that total of 362, that's still chaseable at this ground as Australia showed against England but we don't have a bowler as bad as Carse.

Agreed if we lose it's Bracewell's fault.

Yikes, would it be our third highest chase, the other two is the obvious one against the Crims and the 370 in Durban also against Australia

Australia could have got to 400 if they carried on against England, but the scoreboard pressure of those few extra runs might make the difference in New Zealand’s favour here

Think that is probably 20 or 30 runs to many for SA. If they even have a good chase, when innings get to the end the extra runs will tell and the pressure will likely toll and SA will lose to many wickets.

Nothing goes 100% perfectly, still managed 117 off the final 10 which I think most of us Kiwi fans are perfectly happy with.

SAf have the batting to chase this but you feel it needs two tons, or a huge ton at least, and I don't think NZ have any real weak links with the ball.

No chance for SAF to chase this total. No QDK or Miller or De Villiers.
Probably will get close to it, say 320 to 340 at a max effort. its a good 30 above par

Moss

International Captain
Terrific score obviously and will take some chasing, but SA do have the firepower should they get off to the right start. Hope the NZ pacers have a plan beyond relying on the newball.

Yeah but one of those was four leg byes, right? It's a bit misleading. Bracewell is a wonderful hitter, you don't turn down runs with him at the crease
