It's a celebration of test cricket and should be at the home of cricket. Except when England makes it, but that is always unlikely.

Yay the Afghan result against the Dodgers means SA are through to the semi's.

Edit: Okay there is still some way out result that could still happen to knock SA out

Two games left with 3 teams still in it. The reality is due to SA having a fantastic NRR they will be in the semi-final with the winner of Aus vs Afg. Here are the technical scenarios

Afghanistan: beat Aus they're in semi, lose and they're out. If washout they need Eng to beat SA by a huge margin for Afg to have better NRR than SA

Australia: beat Afg (or washout) they're in semi, lose and they need Eng to beat SA by a large margin for Aus to have better NRR than SA

South Africa: in semi if Aus beat Afg (SA vs Eng then dead rubbber). If Afg beat Aus (or washout) then SA in semi if they beat Eng (or washout) or if they lose to Eng but their NRR is higher than Aus (or Afg)

Plenty of Indian fans in Truganina, plenty of Kiwi;s in Oz (10% of their population), no shortage of poms, plenty of Saffers in Perth.

Given that SAf are the best side in the group the chances are England beating them at all, let alone thrashing them, must be a thousandth of one per cent.

Good tournament for Australia this, turns out you can get into the semi-finals with just 1 win 😀

It wouldn't if Australia weren't in it though.
Wrong. Go to an MCG Test India are playing in and check out the crowd.

If it was South Africa v New Zealand it might not be a huge crowd but anything involving India or Pakistan, maybe even Sri Lanka would be a big crowd

Right about it not being an option during footy season though

Apparently both Aus and SA fly out to Dubai tonight regardless of the tomorrow's game to make sure the one who plays on Tuesday has enough preparation time. The neat part is that the other team would have to return to Lahore after making the pointless trip

Absolutely ludicrous when you think about. All of this is down to a bunch of prima donna wankers couldn't play like the rest of the world
