Good point but I think I might have found a way around this. There's a recent thread about cutting a player's career into two halves and we could do the same thing here:

From the numbers, 2nd Procter > 1st Procter (batting, bowling, and (4 catches vs. 0) fielding) and is confined exclusively to the 1970s. 2nd Procter can be one of the top 5 Test cricketers since 1970! Now, I know that some will object and say that 2nd Procter played just four Tests but when has that ever stopped a past South African cricketer from being regarded by many as an ATG?

The Warne votes are a bit puzzling to me.

He wasn't the best or most impactful bowler on his own team.

And these kind of lists then also falls back to all rounder vs specialists debates.
