Nonsense. He counterattacked and got Bumrah off his line. If Australia scratched to 89 in 40 overs and lost him, odds they get to 400 plus are much less.

Revisionism.
Lol putting that innings as "Series defining/changing" is the epitome of nonsense. They score 89 in 30 overs, the Bumrah initial threat is dealt with. ****ing McSweeney did just that in the very 2nd match!!! Survived the initial onslaught and then Head went boom. Do you really have such a bad memory???

Yeah except Khwaja was lost to Bumrah by that time. They hadnt had an opening spell where they emerged unscathed.

Konstas's knock certainly had an impact on the series but tbf by that point India were desperately fighting for survival in the series by the heels of Bumrah
Yeah I don't went to get bogged down by the debate on the innings impact. The point is Konstas approach did affected the innings momentum and messed with the main bowlers approach. Viv was like that X 100.

You won't get that with an accumulator.

not sure about decent bowling conditions tbh, first test had one day where it was a minefield then flat, second test was pink ball, third and fourth were fairly good for batting imo, fifth was a minefield though

The only important thing was the runs he added. Had Australia had an opener who could bat long and scored those same runs, they would have been better. It didn't really bothered Bumrah much really, he was temporarily countered but that could had been done by sticking to the pitch as well. If 30 odd fast runs is enough to disrupt a team, that team was never in competition.
Mate konstas biltz took Australia to 90 runs in no time. If macsweeny was there it would have been 40-1 and aus would made just over 350 and who knows ind might have won the match. It was konstas who was difference
