I won't say easily really. The other 2 are easily better batsmen and Walcott could also keep
Don't think the batting gap is as big as the averages suggest. Worrell never toured india which Weekes bashed. Averaged 50 for all of his career until his last match. I don't really rate Captains if they aren't exceptional, but Worrell was arguably a top 2. Decent bowler as well.

Worrell>Weekes≈Walcott as cricketers for me.

they had good spinners and made spinning pitches at home, runs against them are valid.
When Weekes toured?? Not necessarily. Sobers played the Quartet and Gupte, don't think Weekes even faced them.
Just checked: Mankad and Ghulam Ahmed (3 of 5). Were decent but definitely not suited to lead attacks. Both went for 43+, despite Mankind topping the wickets list. Still Great series though, 4 back to centuries and then a 90

Checked, Weekes did face Gupte and Mankad in Windies in 53, so if you're consistent you'd argue that runs against those two matter as you think early 50s windies isn't too bad for spinners

Last match is the one that matters tbh.

Anyway. Peer rating suggests Weekes. Idk. Weekes has the best average and the highest SR. He also has the highest away average. Very much held up by his dominance in and against India.

Walcott - kept for the early portion of his career and was stunning after he gave up the gloves. Had proper success against Australia (only at home though) unlike the other two.

Worrell - the odd one out here. Didn’t get to play on the Indian tour in 48/49. Had retired for the 58 series against Pakistan where Walcott and Weekes (and a certain young superstar) made plenty of runs

His brilliant return to cricket to be the first black captain for an entire tour was great, but continuing thereafter hurt his stats ofc. The greatest bloke among them and a handy bowler too.

I’d say Walcott slightly shades Weekes. Worrell is underrated just from raw stats. His performances in England specifically set him apart from the other two, but I’d still rate him third amongst them.

Okay yeah. But Mankad sucked that series, though Gupte was fine.
